	Quick Links How to Donate Now About Our Foundation Annual Campaign Membership Special Events Capital Campaign Volunteer Donor Bill of Rights		Donate Now Capital Campaign If you get passionate about large projects that will have a significant impact in our community, then you may wish to be involved in one of our Capital Campaigns. The Capital Campaign is a concentrated effort to raise funds for a specific project that will have significant impact on the work of LCDS. The Capital Campaign uses many of the same strategies as the Annual Campaign such as direct mail, special events, foundations and major gifts. However, within the Capital Campaign, efforts are concentrated first and for mostly on major gifts and foundations, followed by direct mail and special events near the end of the campaign. In the Annual Campaign we focus on recruiting new stakeholders and building our relationships to support the ongoing efforts of LCDS, whereas in the Capital Campaign, we focus on long term, highly engaged donors to solicit larger gifts and pledges for a specific project. Currently we have one Capital Campaign underway, that to date has raised over $1 million dollars. In 2009 we officially launched The Power Of One Capital Campaign to support the Olde Post Office Project, a major restoration of the original post office in Petrolia to create 4 social enterprise spaces and 6 affordable housing units.
